Yesterday I shot Marissa Bregman for a really amazing project. She needed something very her but also dark, though it couldn’t be too dark. That’s kind of confusing, I know, but hopefully we can spill the beans soon. What we ended up with makes me happy; some of them are pretty Valley of the Dolls.
Marissa and Meridith and I played around the apartment for a while dragging lights behind us from room to room, then we went and had a couple drinks at Club NME where Sarah was DJing. There were people there and it was a pretty good dance party but for some reason it was a very strange mix of irregular people, a sort of off night. But we had a good time and Christian came and met up with us for a bit.
He and I left after a bit and had some late night fried food at 7A, where drunk girls shrieked a lot and asked for pictures. At the table immediately next to us, however, was a very intense and self-involved couple. The girl kept saying to the guy that she looked at pictures of him and her together on MySpace, and she saw how much he loved her in his eyes, and she kept saying his love for her was so apparent and “so genuine.” And while she was babbling he had an absolutely horrified look on his face and kept completely silent. For like twenty minutes.
